Among other international instruments, forums and mechanisms discussed are the sustainable
development goals, the General Assembly of Ministers and High Authorities of Housing and Urban
Development of LatinAmerica and the Caribbean (MINURVI) and its SantiagoDeclaration of 2013, the
Hyogo Framework for Action 2005-2015 andHabitat III (theUnitedNations Conference onHousing and
SustainableUrbanDevelopment), due to take place inOctober 2016. The outcomes of Habitat III, aswell
as the review of its indicators, will need to be tied inwith a number of this chapter’s prioritymeasures.
Although the background section of the present document referred to the tentative indicators
proposed under each priority measure, in the case of this chapter it is important to highlight the
importance of using territorially disaggregated indicators for each of the priority measures presented in
the full tables.
